2. Business Editing Service

The Business Editing Service is the second level of our English language proofreading services for businesses, corporations, institutions and universities.

In this service, our proofreaders and editors cover more aspects of your text than they do in the Business Proofreading Services

The Business Editing Service is aimed at the companies and institutions that need more than just a simple proofread of grammar, spelling and punctuation. In addition to those three basic elements, this service includes a thorough and comprehensive check of the text for word choice and sentence structure.

Although it is more advanced than the first level of service, it does not still involve any major changes in the tone, style, overall structure of the written copy.

We have provided examples below to explain what is included exactly in the Business Editing Service.

5. Sentence structure

One recurrent problem that we often come across in texts for editing and proofreading is what we call run-on sentences...i.e. sentences that are excessively long.

Original: The scene of the crime and any data connected with the crime are able to supply pointers regarding suspects’ identities, assistance in the assessment of scenarios, help in the planning of avoidance or detention procedures, and to assist in the attainment of an improved comprehension of environmental features that may have a link with the crime.

Edited: The scene of the crime and any data connected with the crime are able to supply pointers regarding suspects’ identities and assist in the assessment of scenarios. Both factors also help in the planning of avoidance or detention procedures, as well as in the attainment of an improved comprehension of environmental features that may have a link with the crime.
